Jessie (Evans) Cooper

Jessie Evans Cooper, 71, wife of the late Larry Cooper, passed away on Monday, January 2, 2017 at Harrison Memorial Hospital.

She was born June 7, 1945 in Bath Co. to the late Ray Louis & Sylvia Browning Evans.

Jessie was the loving mother of 4 sons, Doug (Gayle) Mitchell, Richard (Sue) Mitchell, David (Linda) Evans & Junius (Angie) Evans, all of Carlisle. Also surviving are 12 brothers and sisters, Reba Detro, of Maysville, Pat Evans, of Carlisle, Sherman (Mary) Evans, of Carlisle, Kenny (Colphine) Evans, of Mt. Sterling, Joe (Patty) Evans, of Carlisle, Jimmy (Judy) Evans, of Carlisle, Mack (Becky) Evans, of Carlisle, Cherry (Wayne) Hunt, of Paris, Gayle (David) Eckler, of Carlisle, Faith (James) Eckler of Mudlick, Jill Evans, of Carlisle, and Violet (Bob) Wilson, of Mt. Sterling, 14 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Billy & Ray Louis Evans.

Following cremation, Jessie will be buried next to her husband in Lands End Cemetery on their farm.
