Joe Small, Jr.

Joe Small, Jr., 88, husband of 63 years to Helen Carol Hamilton Small, passed away Tuesday, January 17, 2023 at his home. 

Born May 12, 1934 in Bourbon County to the late Joe, Sr. & Margarite Burden Small, he was a longtime employee of Blue Star Nursery where he worked as a landscaper and was a lifelong farmer. Joe loved fishing and going to watch dirt track racing. 

Additional survivors include 3 children: Don (Debbie) Small, of Harrodsburg, Patricia (Steve) Cox, of Georgetown, and Bradley (Tracy) Small, of Cynthiana; 3 grandchildren: Stephanie (Seth) Ankeny, Ashley Cox and Jacob Cox; and 2 great-grandchildren, Boone & Maren Ankeny.

Also preceding him in death was a brother, James William “Jimmy Joe” Small.

In accordance with his wishes, Joe will be cremated with no services.
