Johnny Brierley

Johnny Clifton Brierley, 66, of Owingsville, husband of Judy Carpenter Brierley, passed away on Saturday, April 23, 2022 at his home.

Born April 7, 1956 in Nicholas County to the late Wilson & Nellie Mae Roe Brierley, he had worked on several area horse farms.

Also surviving are 2 sons: Johnny Wayne Brierley & Jesse Clifton Tapp; 4 brothers: Lonnie Wilson (Ann) Brierley, Danny Ray (Barbara) Brierley, James Carl Brierley, and Billy Daryle (Yvonne) Brierley; 2 sisters: Rita Faye (Lonnie) Webb, and Jo Ann B. (Billy) Linville; 2 step-sons: Gary (Tina) Ginter & Kenneth Ginter; and his beloved buddy, Chewy, along with several nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by 2 brothers: Jimmy Shields Brierley & Barry Gene Brierley; a sister, Robin Lynn Brierley; and a step-son, Terry Ginter. 

Services will be 1:00 P.M. Tuesday at Mathers-Gaunce F.H. by Rev. Tony Smith. Burial will follow in Polksville Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. Tuesday until the time of services.
