Joy Felice (Stewart) Berry

Joy Felice Stewart Berry, 71, of Carlisle, passed away Saturday, November 19, 2022 at Bourbon Heights in Paris.

Born December 31, 1950 in Fleming County, she was a 1968 graduate of Nicholas County High School after moving to Carlisle at an early age, attended the Rowan County Community College in Salisbury, North Carolina, and was a member of the Carlisle Christian Church. Joy had a true love of caring for people which she utilized in her career as a private sitter.  She also enjoyed cooking, sewing and quilting. 

Surviving are 2 sons, Gregory Dean Berry, of Richmond, and Oliver Christopher Berry, of Carlisle; 3 grandchildren: Kelli Elizabeth Berry, Trent Daniel (Makayla) Berry and Travis Dean Berry; and a great-granddaughter, Adalynn Rose Berry. 

Preceding her in death were her parents, Dean & Maxine Hunt Bow. 

Services will be 12:00 Noon Tuesday, November 22nd at Mathers-Gaunce Funeral Home by Rev. Steve Smith with burial to follow in Elizaville Cemetery. 

Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. Tuesday until the time of service.
