Joyce Zornes Obituary
Joyce Ann Fryman Zornes, 77, wife of the late William Howard “Buddy” Zornes, passed away Monday, January 4, 2021 at Harrison Memorial Hospital.
Born March 9, 1943 to the late Nelson & Anna Elizabeth Snapp Fryman, she was a graduate of Nicholas County High School and a retired employee of Jockey International. Joyce loved her dogs and watching television.
Surviving are a son, William Scott (Victoria) Zornes, of Carlisle; 3 sisters, Loretta (Paul) Curtis, of Elsmere, Janet Mitchell, of Winchester, and Brenda (Ron) Smart, of Lexington; and 3 granddaughters: Mary Wentworth, Kaitlyn Profitt and Kambriegh Dooley; along with several nieces and nephews.
Also preceding her in death was a son, Steven Nelson “Stevie” Zornes.
Services will be 1:00 P.M. Thursday, January 7, 2021 at Mathers-Gaunce Funeral Home by Rev. Steve Smith. Burial will follow in Carlisle Cemetery.
Family and friends will serve as casketbearers.
Visitation will be after 5:00 P.M. Wednesday.
