June Anderson Wagoner, 83, wife for 65 years to Cecil Ray Wagoner, Jr., passed away Monday, January 1, 2018 at Bourbon Community Hospital.
Born May 30, 1934 in Nicholas County to the late Osborne & Sarah Margaret Wells Anderson, she was a former employee of Bluegrass Industries and a member of the first graduating class of Nicholas County High School in 1952. June had been a member of the Order of the Eastern Star-Marie Chapter and the Ellisville Homemakers and was a lifelong member of the Blue Licks Christian Church, where she spent many years playing piano and singing. She was a devoted wife & mom and dear "Granny" to her grandchildren. June truly loved her family and her church.
Also surviving are 2 daughters: Carol Taylor (Skip Bowen), of Brooksville, and Karen (Kenny) Cartmill, of Florence; a son, Brian (Megan) Wagoner, of Owingsville; 2 brothers: Ray (Susan) Anderson, of Crossville, Tennessee, and James D. (Pam) Anderson, of Nicholas County; 4 grandchildren: Hannah (Nick) Burkhardt, Cris Cartmill, Caleb Taylor and Isla Claire Wagoner; and 2 great-granddaughters: Madison June & Emma Elizabeth Burkhardt.
Services will be 1:00 P.M. Saturday, January 6, 2018 at the Blue Licks Christian Church by Bro. Tony Smith and Bro. Jim Caswell. Burial will follow in the Carlisle Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. Saturday until the time of service.
