Karen S. Harney, 57, gained her wings and was called home on Saturday, March 5, 2022 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center with her family by her side.
A native of Nicholas County born April 16, 1964 to the late Stanley J. & Betty Vandy Robinson, she was a 1982 graduate of Nicholas County High School, a former employee of Jockey International and Monesson, and a member of Barterville United Methodist Church. Karen enjoyed playing cards and “primping” by getting her hair and nails done. She was loved by everyone and her greatest times were spent with family and friends. Karen will be fondly remembered for her love of those closest to her and her fiery spirit that served to strengthen everyone she met.
Karen married Aubrey “Junior” Harney on June 20, 2014. The two were each other’s lifelong companion and best friend. She was blessed with 4 step-children, Dwayne Harney, Holly Harney, Angela Harney & Kevin Harney and 2 step-grandchildren, Zac Trussell & Gabe Harney. Additional survivors include a brother, Terry (Roxanne) Robinson, of Ohio; a niece, Jodi (Steven) Mattox; 2 nephews, Jonathan (Michelle) Robinson and Robert “PJ” (Amanda) Robinson; special niece & nephew, Jacob & Marissa Snapp and several great-nieces & nephews.
Also preceding her in death were her former in-laws, Bernis & Peggy Snapp, and her loving brother-in-law, Johnnie Snapp.
Services will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday, March 10th at Mathers-Gaunce Funeral Home by Bro. Jerry Eubanks with burial to follow in Millersburg Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 6:00 P.M. Wednesday.
