Kathy Darlene (Templin) Herrington

Kathy Darlene Templin Herrington, 62, wife of Bobby Herrington, passed away Wednesday, July 17, 2024 at her home in Ewing. 

Born November 9, 1961 in Nicholas County, she was a longtime employee of Bourbon Laundry in Paris. Kathy loved going to yard sales & flea markets and spending time with her family. 

In addition to her beloved husband, she is survived by 3 stepdaughters: Julie (Kevin) Taulbee of Paris, Lisa (David) Peck of Nicholas County & Ashley (Jeremy) Justice of Decatur, Tennessee; her son-in-law, Cody Roe Gaunce and his mother, Shonda Mingua of Paris; 3 sisters: Betty Marie Gaunce & Mary Ann (Bimbo) Riggs, both of Nicholas County, and Rebecca Johansson of Texas; 2 special nieces, Sonja Jolly (Josh) Mitchell & Adreyona Gaunce Shrout; and dear friends: Bonnie & Mark Hunt, Crissy Curtis and Sandy & Georgia Livingood; along with several grandchildren & great-grandchildren. 

Preceding Kathy in death were her mother & stepfather, Pansy (Jolly) & Ezra Whitt; her father, Earl Templin; her beloved baby boy, Robert Wayne Gaunce, Jr.; her brother, Kenneth Lee Jolly; and a sister, Phyllis Carol Jones. 

In accordance with her wishes, Kathy will be cremated. The family will hold a Celebration of Life in the near future.
