Kristin Elaine Porter

Kristin Elaine Porter, 53, passed away Saturday, June 14, 2025 at her home in Flemingsburg.

Born May 26, 1972 in Nicholas County, she had worked as a cook in several area restaurants over the years.  Kristin loved planning and cooking for family and holiday gatherings, was a published poet and enjoyed crafting, puzzles and watching cooking shows. 

Surviving are 3 children: Michael Porter of Sardinia, Ohio, Gerri (Jonathon) Pollitt of Ewing & Taylor (Hazy) Varney of Kimper; her mother, Diana Hunter of Nicholas County; 3 brothers: Aaron, Jason & Steven Linville; a sister, Janet Linville Allison; and 13 grandchildren: Garrett Varney, Alayna Varney, Lisa Willoughby, Cheyenne Pollitt, Debbie Pollitt, Emma Porter, Trenton Mattox, Kaylie Willoughby, John Willoughby, Colton Varney, Brayden Willoughby, Keaton Porter & Kenley Pollitt; a large extended family and many dear friends.  

Also preceding her in death were a son, Roger Willoughby, II; her father, Arthur Porter; her maternal grandparents, Ted & Bonnie Hunter; and her paternal grandparents, Charles & Verna Porter. 

Services will be 7:00 P.M. Thursday, June 19th at Mathers-Gaunce Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 5:00 P.M. 

Following cremation, Kristin will be inurned on her son Roger’s lot in Sunnyside Cemetery at Mt. Tabor.
