Larry Hatton Obituary

Larry W. Hatton, 68, husband of Margaret Sams Hatton for 50 years, passed away Thursday, April 4, 2019 at the Hospice Care Center at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington after a brief illness.

A Nicholas County native born June 20, 1950 to Maggie Emmons Hatton, of Nicholas County, and the late Edward Hatton, he was a 1968 graduate of Nicholas County High School, a lifelong farmer and a dairyman for 30
years. He had also worked at Keller’s and Bevins John Deere in Paris, where many people benefitted from his knowledge of agriculture and his experience with farm equipment.

Also left to cherish his memory are his children: Carol Hatton, of Nicholas County, and Jill (Jason) Hurt, of Georgetown; Glenn Hatton and Adam Hatton, both of Lexington, and Jason Hatton, of Paris; 6 grandchildren: Taylor & Sydney Hatton (Chuck Dennis), Katie Newby and Michael, Carolyn & Sophia Hurt, and a brother: Danny (Becky) Hatton, of Paris.

Also preceding him in death was a sister, Joan Karen Hatton.

A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 P.M. Sunday, April 7, 2019 at Mathers-Gaunce Funeral Home officiated by Jason Hurt.  

Visitation will be from 1:00 P.M. Sunday until the service.
