Larry Glenn Hume, 71, passed away Wednesday, January 7, 2025 at his home in Winchester.
Born December 19, 1954 in Garrard County to the late John Earnest & Lillian Sebastian Hume, he was a 1972 graduate of Garrard County High School and devoted, longtime employee of Toyota Motor Manufacturing, where he retired after 25 years of service and achieved perfect attendance for many years. Larry loved to travel, sing, and take care of his vehicles. In his younger years, he enjoyed hunting, tobacco farming and mudding. He was a cut-up and jokester, always the life of the party.
Surviving are his devoted companion, Carol Agee of Carlisle; 2 children, Chris (Olivia) Hume of Richmond and Sheri (Cliffton) Yocum of Lancaster; a sister, Earnestine “Tina” Daley of Lancaster; 2 brothers, Ronnie (Loretta) Hume of Lancaster and Jeff (Angela) Hume of Adele, Georgia; and 3 grandchildren: Jules Hale and Kadie & Keegan Hume, along with several nieces & nephews.
Also preceding him in death were a sister, Betty Hume, and a brother, Johnny Hume.
In accordance with his wishes, Larry will be cremated with no formal services.
