Lenore (Richey) Anderson

Lenore Richey Anderson, 80, passed away Tuesday, July 5, 2016.

Born January 9, 1936 in Nicholas County to the late Woodrow & Erma Storey Richey, she was a graduate of Nicholas County High School (Class of 1954) and Fugazzi Business College, a former employee of Deposit Bank of Carlisle, First National Bank of Carlisle and the Kentucky Group Banks, the former Area Manager of the Jockey Credit Union and was also on their Board of Directors. Lenore dedicated much of her life to serving the Lord as a member of the Carlisle United Methodist Church, where she was the longtime choir director and pianist.

Left to cherish her memory are a daughter, Carlotta Wood Anderson Sweet; 2 grandchildren: Shane Roger (Hannah) Sweet and Sedona Wood Sweet, all of Carlisle; and a step-granddaughter, Monica Sweet-Harding (Whitt Gray), of Flemingsburg; and 3 great-grandchildren: Alyson Swartz, Kenneth Harding and James Daniel Gray.

She was also preceded in death by her son-in-law James Roger Sweet.

Services will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, July 9, 2016 at the Carlisle United Methodist Church by Rev. Jim Doughton and Revs. Rocky & Denise Wallace. Lenore will be laid to rest in the Carlisle Cemetery next to the love of her life, Luther Anderson.

Visitation will be after 5:00 P.M. Friday at the church.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Rose Hill Cemetery.
