Linda Lee Roe Aubrey, 65, wife of Glenn A. Aubrey, passed away Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at Harrison Memorial Hospital.
Born March 16, 1952 in Woodford County to James Willis Roe, of Stanford, and the late Martha Pauline Hisle Roe Goodman, she had been a Fayette County Schools bus driver for 15 years and was a member of the Irvingsville Baptist Church. Linda loved crocheting and watching her grandchildren participate in sporting events, but her greatest joy came from "holding her babies"- her beloved great-grandchildren.
Also left to cherish her memory are a son, Shannon Aubrey (Rachel Weatherly), of Georgetown; 2 daughters: Glenna (Joseph) Stamper and Sandy (Billy) Stafford, both of Carlisle; 2 sisters: Libby (Mike) Padgett, of Lexington, and Florida (Jimmy) Harris, of Nicholas County; 5 grandchildren: Brandy (Brandon) Stephens, Josie (Justin) Smith, Katie (Tyler) Bromagen, Logan Stafford and Shelby Stafford; and 3 great-grandchildren: Annie Martin, Jocelyn Smith and Skyler Bromagen.
She was also preceded in death by 2 brothers, James Roe, Jr. and Barry Roe, and 2 grandsons, Shawn & Caleb Aubrey.
Services will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, April 1, 2017 at Mathers-Gaunce Funeral Home by Bro. Andrew Bishop. Burial will follow in the Carlisle Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 6:00 P.M. Friday.
