Linda Joyce Brown Capps, 76, wife of the late Oliver Thomas Capps, passed away Friday, November 3, 2023 at Maysville Nursing & Rehabilitation.
Born December 18, 1946 in Nicholas County to the late William Perry & Wynona Woodall Brown, she was a retired employee of Jockey International, a former teacher at the New Beginnings Christian Academy, North Middletown Elementary & Mt. Sterling Christian School, and a member of Locust Grove Baptist Church. Linda loved sewing, gardening, canning, taking walks and looking for Indian rocks.
Surviving are 2 sons, Greg Capps (Becky Donahue) & Jeff Capps; a son-in-law, Ralph Hayes; a sister, Beverly DeAtley; 4 grandchildren: Patrick Hayes, Alyssia Hayes, Jerrod Capps & Bradley Capps; 2 great-grandchildren, McKenzi Myers & Oliver Capps; several nieces & nephews and a large extended family.
Also preceding her in death were a daughter, Jo Ellen Hayes; a brother, Billy Brown; a sister, Sue DeAtley; and a grandson, Aaron Capps.
Graveside services officiated by Rev. Robert Donovan will be held 2:00 P.M. Monday, November 6th in the Longview Cemetery at Bethel.
