Lis (Shrout) Frederick

Elisabeth “Lis” Shrout Frederick, 61, wife of the late Roger Dale Frederick, Sr., passed away Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at her home.

A native of Sharpsburg born July 27, 1961 to the late Nelson Gay, Sr. & Alma Wood Shrout, Lis was a 1979 graduate of Bath County High School and worked for many years as an instructional aide at Nicholas County Elementary School. She loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Surviving are a daughter, Amy (Duncan) Tobin, of Moorefield; 2 step-sons, David & Dale Frederick, of Nicholas County; a brother, Walter Shrout, of Sharpsburg; and 2 grandchildren, Judd & Lincoln Tobin, along with several nieces & nephews.

Also preceding her in death were 3 brothers, Nelson G. Shrout, Jr., James Ivan Shrout and Joe Major Shrout.

A private inurnment service will be held in the Longview Cemetery at Bethel.
