Lorene (Shepherd) Graves

Lorene Shepherd Graves, 61, wife of Robert Douglass Graves, passed away Sunday, January 21, 2018 at her home.

Born January 24, 1956 in Willard, Ohio to the late Claude, Sr. & Effie Mae Kilgore Shepherd, she was a former manager with Canteen Services and home health aide and a member of the Revival Tabernacle. Lorene had a big heart, opening her home and using her great cooking skills for anyone in need. She was "Mom" to everyone. Her greatest joys were playing bingo with her friends and spending time doting on her grandchildren.

Also left to cherish her memory are 2 children: Stacy Fryman, of Lexington, and Shawn Graves, of Carlisle; 5 brothers: Claude, Jr., Allen, Roney, Robert and Marvin Shepherd; 6 sisters: Margaret Bivens, Pauline Rowe, Wanda Feuchet, Darlene McDonald, Debbie McDonald and Donna Shepherd; 7 grandchildren: Courtney Alexis, Robby Shawn, Jordan Scott & Aubrey Viola Graves, Tyler Dreux, Dylan Taylor Fryman and Brylee Shea Elizabeth Merritt; and 2 great-granddaughters, Kynnzlee Jackson and JaNiyah Glenn.

Also preceding her in death was a sister, Shirley Brown.

Services will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, January 27, 2018 at Mathers-Gaunce Funeral Home with cremation to follow.

Visitation will be from Noon Saturday until the time of service.
