Lowell Thomas Fryman, Sr., 77, husband of the late Bonnie Courtney Fryman, passed away Friday, January 27, 2017 at Johnson-Mathers Nursing Home.
Born June 23, 1939 in Nicholas County to the late James Riley (Rile) & Lillian Beatrice (Bea) Barbee Fryman, Tom was a lifelong farmer in Nicholas and Mason Counties, Past Master of Blue Licks Lodge #495 F& A.M. and member of the Blue Licks Christian Church. An avid lover of sports, he enjoyed fishing with his brothers in his younger days, watching UK sports, coaching Little League Basketball and watching his grandchildren participate in all types of athletics. Tom was also a great music enthusiast who sang frequently at local events.
Left to cherish his memory are a son: Lowell Thomas "Tip" (Melissa) Fryman, Jr., of Carlisle; 4 daughters: Belinda (Randall) Dale, of Carlisle, Ginger (Timothy) Anderson, of Vanceburg, Deeana (Derick) Logan, of Hawthorne, California, and Gabrielle (Jeff) Graves, of Imperial, Missouri; one sister: Juanita (Larry) Hunt, of Cynthiana; 2 sisters-in-law: Janet Courtney-Guerrero and Pamela Courtney, both of Carlisle; 10 grandchildren: Courtney (Geramie) Ingram, Philip Cameron Dale, Tim (Katie) Brannon, Thomas (Marlene Patton) Brannon, Sydney Faith-Ann Fryman, Isaac Thomas Fryman, Laken Elizabeth Graves, and Noah, John Gabriel & Gabrielle Logan; and 2 great-granddaughters: Emma & Lynnsey Brannon.
Also preceding him in death were 4 brothers: Warren, Pete, Don & Doug Fryman and 4 sisters: Catherine Curtis, Josie Hughes, Anna Mae Whalen and Mayme Wagoner.
Services will be 10:00 A.M. Thursday, February 2, 2017 at Mathers-Gaunce Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Carlisle Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 5:00 P.M. Wednesday with Masonic Service at 7:30 P.M.
