Marcella Mae Cord Tincher, 82, passed away Sunday, February 19, 2017 at her home.
Born February 16, 1935 in Fleming County, Kentucky to the late L.C. & Charlene Teegarden Cord, she was a 1952 graduate of Fleming County High School, a retired Certified Medical Assistant at Johnson-Mathers Nursing Home and member of the Carlisle United Methodist Church. A very talented baker, Marcella was well-known for her cakes, pies and breads. She greatly enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Survivors include two children: Alan Tincher and Brenda (Greg) Letcher, both of Carlisle; a brother: L.C. Cord, Jr., of Ewing; a sister-in-law, Roberta Cord, of Florida; and 5 grandchildren: Kristen (Blake) Letcher-McLeod, Kimberly (Kenton) Holbrook, Kendra Letcher, Kayley-Clay Letcher and Kamryn Letcher, along with several nieces and nephews.
Also preceding her in death were a brother, William H. Cord, and a sister-in-law, Mary Cord.
Services will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday, February 23, 2017 at Mathers-Gaunce Funeral Home by Rev. Rocky Wallace, Rev. Gaylord Gillispie and Pastor Keith Biddle. Burial will follow at the Mt. Tabor Cemetery, in Ewing, Kentucky.
Visitation will be after 5:00 P.M. Wednesday.
