Marilyn Kay (McCarty) Howard

Marilyn Kay Howard, 70, wife of Roscoe Howard, passed away on Wednesday, December 25, 2019 at her home.

A native of Bath Co. she was born December 14, 1949 to the late Jake & Laura Jane Plummer McCarty,  was a long-time LPN at Mary Chiles Hospital in Mt. Sterling and was a devoted homemaker for her family.

Other survivors include 3 sons, Bobby "Bo" Wells, Jr., John Wayne Wells, & Kevin Trent Wells; her twin brother, Billy Ray (Nancy) McCarty, along with four other brothers, Eddie (Lodema) McCarty, David (Linda) McCarty, James (Melissa) McCarty & Scotty McCarty; and 2 sisters: Sandy (Bobby) Hammack & Carol (Albert) Anderson, as well as her beloved grandchildren: Maranda Kay Wright, Willard Wright, Kevin Wells, Jr., Cheyenne Michelle Wells, Triffany Michelle Wells, John Wayne Wells, Jr., Evan James Lee Wells, Jadin Brooke Wells, Sierra Shay Wells, Payton Rae Wells, Paul Lewis Wells & Chloe Dawn Wells and 3 great-grandchildren: Samuel Dewayne Purvis, Lilliana Jean Wells & Harper Leeann Purvis.

Also preceding her in death was her step-mother, Nancy McCarty, and a grandson, Hunter Gene Wells.

Services will be 1:00 P.M. Monday, December 30th at Mathers-Gaunce Funeral Home by Bro. Bobby Stone. Burial will follow in Carlisle Cemetery.

Visitation will be after after 11:00 A.M. Monday.
