Mary Lou Hunt

Mary Lou Hunt, 84, of Carlisle, passed away Monday, May 16, 2022 at her home. 

Born May 21, 1937 in Nicholas County to the late Omer & Dolly Mae Jackson Hunt, she was a longtime babysitter and had attended the Assembly of God Church.  Mary Lou absolutely loved to shop and enjoyed watching Jeff Gordon in NASCAR, wrestling & UK basketball. 

Surviving are 11 nieces & nephews: Regina Hunt Pattie, Ricky Dale (Betty Mae) Hunt, Glenn (Penny) Hunt, Roy Christopher Hunt (Angela Brumagen), Mark Anthony (Bonnie) Hunt, Marianne Hunt Howard (Johnny Ray Burton, Sr.), Jennifer (Leslie Gene) Mitchell, Dollie Mae Nelle (Wayne) Sheffield, Angela Rose Ross (Bennis Dunn), Jimmy Ray Hunt & Christina Renee Hunt; and several great-nieces & nephews and great-great-nieces & nephews.

Also preceding her in death were 3 brothers: Jimmy Dale, Roy Holmes & Billy Ray Hunt; and her beloved aunt, Louise Hunt McFarland, who she lived with for many years.

Services will be 1:00 P.M. Saturday, May 21, 2022 at Mathers-Gaunce Funeral Home with burial to follow in Carlisle Cemetery. 

Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. Saturday until the time of service.
