Mary Lou (Bowles) Stone

Mary Lou Stone, 72, wife of the late James Thomas Stone, passed away on Wednesday, December 11, 2019 at Johnson-Mathers Nursing Home.

She was born December 28, 1946 in Nicholas Co. to the late George Earl Bowles & Maggie Belle Dampier Bowles, was a longtime babysitter, a devoted homemaker and a lifelong Christian, who cherished the many hours of church services and revivals she attended.

Survivors include her son, James T. (Shawna) Stone; 2 grandsons: James Gage Stone & Shayde Thomas Stone; 2 brothers: Donald (Betty) Bowles & Larry (Shirley) Bowles; and a sister, Sue Booth, along with a host of nieces and nephews, who she deeply loved.

Also preceding her in death was a brother, Jerry Bowles.

Services will be 1:00 P.M. Friday at Mathers-Gaunce Funeral Home by Bro. Gary Stith with burial to follow in Carlisle Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 11:00 A.M. Friday.
