Mike Haney

James Michael Haney, 57, formerly of Carlisle, husband of the late Marsha Reid Lyons Haney, passed away Tuesday, August 13, 2019 in Owensboro.

A native of Bath County born October 30, 1961, he was a 1979 graduate of Bath County High School, a longtime employee of the Clay Ingels Company in Lexington, former owner and operator of Memories & More Photography in Carlisle, and was an devoted member of the Carlisle Presbyterian Church, where he served on The Session. Mike took great joy in spending time with his family and was very involved in his sons’ activities, having been especially dedicated to the Nicholas County Band Boosters, where he served as President.

Surviving are 2 sons: Seth Roberts Haney, of Carlisle, and Ross Michael Haney, of Owensboro; a sister, Cindy (John) Snedegar, of Owingsville; his mother & father-in-law, Ewell "Bud" & Nancye Lyons; and 2 sisters-in-law: Kathy Rainey and Kim Lyons, of Carlisle.

Also preceding him in death were his father, James Lloyd "Jimmy" Haney; his mother, Lorena Frances Clavell Wells; and a brother-in-law, Rob Lyons.

Services will be 10:00 A.M. Saturday, August 17, 2019 at the Carlisle Presbyterian Church by Rev. Schuyler Olt with burial to follow in the Carlisle Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 P.M. Friday at the church.
