Mildred Clarine Howard, 95, wife of the late James T. Howard for 72 years, went to be with her Heavenly Father on Saturday, November 19, 2016.
A native of Nicholas County, she was born February 10, 1921 to the late John & Mary Ritchie Livingood, was an employee of Jockey International for 26 years, and a member of the Carlisle Christian Church.
Survivors include her children: James G. (Joy) Howard, Johnny David (Ruby) Howard, Danny (Phyllis) Howard, Ricky (Joyce) Howard, and Rose (Robert A.) Brady, all of Carlisle, Gary (Sandra) Howard, of Bourbon County, and Mary (Henry) Banks & Patricia Leet (Tom, deceased), of Vine Grove; a brother: Johnny (Nancy) Livengood, of Carlisle, a sister: Elizabeth (Thomas) Hughes, and a son-in-law, Beaty Mitchell, both of Cowan; 26 grandchildren, 51 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great grandchildren.
Also preceding her in death are a daughter, Linda Mitchell, a granddaughter, Holly Jean Howard, a great-grandson, Justin Howard, 2 brothers, Leonard & Roy B. Livingood, and 3 sisters, Samantha Platt, Kathleen Jones & Margaret Wagoner.
Services will be 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at the Carlisle Christian Church by Rev. Steve Smith. Burial will follow in the Carlisle Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 4:00 P.M. Tuesday at the church.
