Naomi (Snapp) Gaunce

Naomi Snapp Gaunce, 95, wife of the late Rev. Woodrow Gaunce, passed away Saturday, January 11, 2020 at Pine Meadows Acute Care.

Born July 3, 1924 in Nicholas County to the late Riffle & Ella Platt Snapp, she was a retired employee of Jockey International and member of the Headquarters United Methodist Church.

Surviving are nephews: Greg (Brenda) Gaunce, Kenneth Wayne (Rosie) Gaunce, Quinton (Patricia) Snapp, Jr.; a niece, Laverne Schlafer; and a grandson, Timothy Wayne Gaunce.

Also preceding her in death were 2 sons, Stephen Gaunce and Elcon David Gaunce; a brother, Quinton Snapp; and 3 sisters, Trella Schlafer, Dorothy Gaunce and Hilda Poynter.

Graveside services with Rev. Gaylord Gillispie officiating will be held at 3:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 14, 2020 in Saltwell Cemetery.
