Nora Catherine (Bussell) Mitchell

Nora Catherine Bussell Mitchell, 80, of Bethel, wife of the late Roy Kenneth “Kenny” Mitchell, passed away Monday, August 16, 2021 at her home.

Born February 17, 1941 in Nicholas County to the late Flem & Thelma Vance Bussell, she was a retired employee of Jockey International and member of the Victory Chapel Church.

Surviving are 2 sons, Kenneth Earl Mitchell and Timothy Mitchell, of Bethel; 2 brothers, Marvin & Charles Bussell, of Paris; 2 sisters, Arizona Dailey & Nancy Fair, of Bath County; 5 grandchildren: Kenneth Earl Mitchell, Jr., Ashley Mitchell, Josh Mitchell, Anthony Mitchell and Heather Goldie; 7 great-grandchildren and 4 step-great-grandchildren along with a host of nieces & nephews. 

Also preceding her in death were a brother, Avery Bussell, and 7 sisters: Mollie Dailey, Elma Lee Watkins, Artie Williams, Audrey Perry, Juanita Buckler, Clevophas Hunt & Dora Dean Bussell. 

Services will be 1:00 P.M. Friday, August 20, 2021 at Mathers-Gaunce Funeral Home by Bro. Kevin Miles with burial following in the Longview Cemetery at Bethel. 

Visitation will be after 11:00 A.M. Friday.
