Ollie Platt, 78, husband of Helen Brumagen Platt, passed away Wednesday, October 14, 2020 at Clark Regional Medical Center in Winchester.
Born July 16, 1942 in Bourbon County to the late Harry H. & Elsie M. Roberts Platt, he was a longtime auto mechanic and retired employee of Jockey International. Ollie loved working in his shop and on his farm, and taking his devoted canine companion, Lucky, for rides.
Additional survivors are 2 daughters: Carla Waggoner & Ginger Waggoner (Danny Arnold), both of Nicholas County; 2 sisters: Elsie Mae Daugherty, of Falmouth, and Annette Hatton, of Nicholas County; and 3 granddaughters, Lacey (Kalep) Brierly, Lillie Hardin (Chris Jackson) and Liberty Cheyenne Hardin.
Also preceding him in death were 2 brothers, Harvey & Marion Platt.
Services will be 2:00 P.M. Monday, October 19, 202 at Mathers-Gaunce Funeral Home by Rev. Steve Smith. Burial will follow in Carlisle Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 12:00 Noon Monday until the time of service.
