Pansy Lee (Jolly) Whitt

Our beautiful mother, Pansy Lee Jolly Whitt, 86, of Ewing, formerly of Carlisle, wife of the late Ezra Whitt, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 26, 2023. 

Born January 25, 1937 in Fleming County, she was the last surviving child of Estill Charles & Maggie Stanfield Jolly. In addition to being a devoted homemaker, Pansy loved reading, playing bingo, going for rides and watching the horses and buggies that passed her house. 

Surviving are 5 daughters: Kathy (Bobby) Herrington of Ewing, Betty Marie Gaunce of Nicholas County, Mary Ann (Bimbo) Riggs of Nicholas County, Phyllis Carol Jones of Paris, and Rebecca Jean Johansson of Texas; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren & great-great grandchildren; and a large extended family. Pansy had several special people in her life: her daughter Phyllis; her granddaughter Sonja; her great-granddaughter Adreyona; several dear friends: Josh, Cody, Shonda, Bonnie, Sandy, Crissy & April; and her beloved son-in-law, Bobby, who she believed was a gift from God and considered a son. 

She was preceded in death by her son, Kenneth Lee Jolly; her 12 brothers & sisters; and 2 grandsons, Robert Wayne Gaunce, Jr. & Gage Dawayne Allen Gaunce. 

In accordance with her wishes, Pansy will be cremated and her remains will be inurned in Carlisle Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later time.
