Pauline Earlywine Obituary

Pauline Harding Earlywine 92, wife of 51 years to the late Jake Earlywine, Jr., passed away July 27, 2017 in Tampa, Florida after suffering a broken hip in January.

Born June 30, 1925 in Harrison County, Kentucky to the late Henry Newton & Emma Elizabeth Marshall Harding, she lived most of her life in Carlisle and Cynthiana, Kentucky. Pauline was an independent woman ahead of her time. She left home at 18 to work in a factory in Ohio to support the war effort. She was the only woman among her siblings who learned to drive. When she met Jake, she asked him to dance; they later married and raised 3 daughters. Pauline loved reading, crossword puzzles, playing cards & games, cooking, baking & canning, George Jones’ music, camping & fishing and her family. She spent most of her career working as one of the assistants in Dr. Allen Hamon’s office. She will be missed by many and had a wonderful long life.

Survivors include 3 daughters: Linda Bidarian (Abe), Candy Earlywine (Craig) and Lisa Earlywine (Marc), all of Florida; step-daughter, Camille Jennings, of Carlisle; 2 grandchildren: Bijan & Nicolette Bidarian; 2 step-grandchildren: Given Jennings & Stephanie Sowell; 3 great-grandchildren; many step-great grandchildren; 2 special nieces: Velma Barkley & Patsy Williams; a sister-in-law, Frances Maffett, and many nieces and nephews.

Also preceding her in death were 6 sisters: Lula Wagoner, Violet Caswell, Ellen Arnold, Florence Sipe, Christine McCord and Dorothy Green; and 2 brothers: Aubrey Harding and Newton Harding, Jr.

Services will be 1:00 P.M. Saturday, August 5, 2017 at Mathers-Gaunce Funeral Home by Bro. Jim Caswell. Burial will follow in the Carlisle Cemetery.

Visitation will be from Noon Saturday until the time of service.

A memorial service is also being held in Tampa, Florida for family and friends who could not attend the Kentucky service.
