Peter Torrance Porche, Jr.

Peter Torrance Porche, Jr., 62, of Nicholas County, husband of Rhonda Bridgewater Porche, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, June 26, 2024 at Bourbon Community Hospital in Paris. 

Born September 11, 1961 in Ayers, Massachusetts, he was a U.S. Navy veteran and owned the woodworking shop, Oaktrends. Peter enjoyed farming, woodworking, boating and riding motorcycles. He loved spending  time with Rhonda and animals, especially dogs. 

Also surviving are his mother, Waltraud Becker Porche of Palm Bay, Florida; his 3 children: Christopher Porche, Nichole (John) Coffrin & Ashley Stevens, all of Palm Bay; 2 stepsons, Scott Delong (Caitlyn Switzler) of Greensboro, North Carolina and Michael (Renee) Delong of Rosamond, California;  2 sisters, Karen (Rob) Oertner of Nicholas County & Susan Porche of Palm Bay; a brother, Brian Porche of Palm Bay; and 8 grandchildren: William, Ava, Caleb & Logan Delong, Jordan & Kailey Boyea and Alayna & Alannah Stevens.

Peter was preceded in death by his father, Peter T. Porche. 

In accordance with his wishes, Peter will be cremated.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 3:00 P.M. Saturday, October 12th on Pete's farm at 1203 Stoney Creek Road, Carlisle, Kentucky 40311.
