Obituary
Princena Tackett, 74, of Carlisle, passed away Thursday, May 18, 2023 at Dover Manor in Georgetown.
Born March 6, 1949 in Johnson County to the late Jesse & Sylva Taylor Wheeler, she was a former resident of Fleming County where she worked in several area restaurants over the years.
Survivors include her daughters, Priscilla Barbee (Doug Frederick) & Jessica (Gary) Toy; a brother, Troy Wheeler; 2 sisters, Mary Dailey & Lily May Clouse; and her grandchildren, Natasha (Jerry) Smith, Samantha (Josh) Frederick, Brandon Tackett, Kellie Tackett & Adam Toy, along with 5 great-grandchildren.
Also preceding her in death were 4 brothers, Jay, Rufus, William & Amos Wheeler, and 2 sisters, Phyllis Ann Ward & Ethel Wheeler.
Services will be 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, May 23rd at Mathers-Gaunce Funeral Home by Bro. Dean Brewer. Burial will follow in Hillsboro Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 5:00 P.M. Monday.
