Randy Hedges

Harvey R. “Randy” Hedges, 74, husband of 53 years to Sharon McKee Hedges, passed away Thursday, September 9, 2021 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center. 

Born April 8, 1947 in Bourbon County to the late Harvey A. & Mary C. Scott Hedges, he was a 1965 graduate of Bourbon County High School, a retired employee of I.B.M./Lexmark International, where he worked for more than 35 years, and attended the Carlisle Christian Church. Randy showed Tennessee Walking horses for many years, enjoyed old cars– especially Corvettes, and was an avid University of Louisville Cardinals fan.  Dedicated to his family, he was always in attendance at his children’s & grandchildren’s sporting events and loved exploring with Sharon. 

Also surviving are his 2 sons, Todd (Becky) Hedges, of Prosper, Texas, and Rodney (Shannon) Hedges, of Carlisle; 4 sisters: Charlotte (Roy) Tincher, of Millersburg, Barbara Fryman, of Cynthiana, Emma (Danny) Stroub, of Cynthiana, and Brenda (Herman) Fehler, of Louisville; and 3 grandchildren: Austin & Amberlee Hedges and Andy Hedges. 

Services will be 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at Carlisle Christian Church by Rev. Steve Smith with burial to follow in Carlisle Cemetery. 

Visitation will be after 5:00 P.M. Monday at the church.
