Raye Jean Snapp

Raye Jean Snapp, 65, passed away Thursday, July 17, 2025 at her home in Nicholas County. 

Born August 20, 1959 in Nicholas County to the late Raymond & Ellen Wilson Snapp, she was a lifelong farmer and former employee of Bourbon Heights Nursing Home and Harrison Memorial Hospital, where she worked in dietary. Raye Jean enjoyed cooking, baking, shopping, watching movies and living a country life. She dearly loved animals, especially her beloved dog Tracy. She had a kind heart and a gentle, caring spirit and would help anyone in need. 

Surviving are 2 aunts, Mary Ruth (Nelson) Dunaway & Beulah (Bobby) True, both of Paris; an uncle, Earnest (Betty) Snapp of Millersburg; a special cousin, Cynthia Roe, and a large extended family. 

Also preceding her in death were a sister, Betty Jane Snapp; 2 aunts, Anna Mae Curtis & Minnie Berryman; and 4 uncles: Bernis, Bob, Clay & Larry Ray Snapp. 

A memorial service will be held at 7:00 P.M. Monday, July 21st at Mathers-Gaunce Funeral Home by Bro. Henry White. Inurnment will follow on the family lot in Carlisle Cemetery. 

Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. until the time of service
