Ricky Hughes

Ricky Eli Hughes, 63, husband of the late Brenda Bradley Hughes, passed away on Monday, August 16, 2021.

A native of Nicholas County, he was born April 24, 1958, was a longtime employee and former owner of Reid & Vice Building Materials and was currently employed with Town & Country in Camargo. Ricky was a devoted member of the Carlisle Rotary Club.

Survivors include a son, Michael (LeeAnn) Hughes of Paris; a daughter, Rebeca Arvestål of Sweden; sister Marie (Paul) Sapp of Ft. Myers, Florida; a brother, Gary Hughes of Paris; and his grandchildren, Chase & Brady Hughes, Isabella Sears, Linnea Arvestål and Shriley, Leigh-Ann & Cameron Gilvin, along with special friends, Carolyn Dotson and Mary Susan & Dougie McCord.

Also preceding him in death were his mother, Ellen Hughes Moran; his father, Junior Hughes; a brother, Robert Moran, and a step-son, John Gilvin.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday in the Longview Cemetery at Bethel by Rev. Steve Smith with inurnment to follow.
