Rita Faye (Howard) McCarty

Rita Faye Howard McCarty, 66, wife of Ron McCarty, passed away Thursday, September 23, 2021 at her daughter’s home. 

Born July 26, 1955 in Bourbon County to the late Jack & Maudie Moore Howard, she was a graduate of Bourbon County High School and member of the Peyton’s Lick Christian Church. Rita loved crocheting and spending time with her grandchildren.

Additional survivors include a son, Ronnie (Mary) McCarty, of Alamogordo, New Mexico; 3 daughters: Helen (Jamie) Littleton, of Pace, Florida, Debbie (Adam) Ryden, of Lakewood, California, and Liz (Jeremy) McCord, of Carlisle; 2 brothers: John (Roberta) Howard and Ollie Howard; 5 sisters: Helen Howard, Anna Smoot, Peggy Halsey, Barbara (James) Fryman and Shirley  (Roger) Mattox; 5 grandchildren: Tress, Christian & Cheyanne Daniels, Ryan McCarty and Aubri McCord, along with several nieces, nephews & cousins.

Also preceding her in death were 2 brothers, Harry & James “Buster” Howard, and 2 sisters: Louise Wagoner & Addie Jefferson. 

Services will be 11:00 A.M. Monday, September 27, 2021 at Mathers-Gaunce Funeral Home by Bro. Chuck Perry with burial to follow in Carlisle Cemetery. 

Visitation will be after 5:00 P.M. Sunday.
