Rob Shearer

Robert Price Shearer, 61, husband of Ginger Myers Shearer, passed away Sunday, May 31, 2026 at his home in Carlisle.

Born June 19, 1964 in Woodford County to the late Charles Donald & Janet McCuddy Shearer, he worked for more than 30 years as an electrician for Dixon Electric and was a member of Oakland Mills Community Methodist Church. Rob loved crappie fishing, restoring old cars and attending car shows. One of his favorite things was going to NHRA drag races with his dear friend, Mike Phillips.

Additional survivors include 5 children: Robert (Glynn) Spivey, Eric Shearer, Ashley (Jeremy) Napier, Logan (Sarah) Fryman and Patrick Fryman; a brother, Charlie Shearer; 2 sisters, Pam Shearer & Debbie (Ronnie) Ball; his mother-in-law, Esther Myers; 8 grandchildren: Audrey, Asher & Nicholas Fryman, Kane Holbrook, Gaia Williams, and Ryan, Leah & Christopher Spivey; and a great-granddaughter, Breanna Holbrook.

Also preceding him in death was his father-in-law, G.C. Myers.

Services will be 1:00 P.M. Friday, June 5th at Mathers-Gaunce Funeral Home by Bro. Jerry Eubanks with burial following in Carlisle Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. Friday until the time of service.

Memorial contributions are suggested to Oakland Mills Community Methodist Church.
