Robert Wayne Gaunce, Sr.

Robert Wayne Gaunce, Sr., 58, husband of Kathleen Turpin Gaunce, passed away Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center.

Born January 11, 1958 in Bourbon County to the late Robert Wesley & Etna Mae Smith Gaunce, he was a lifelong carpenter. Wayne’s greatest enjoyment came from fishing and knife collecting.

Also left to cherish his memory are a son, Robert Wayne Gaunce, Jr., 2 step-daughters, Amanda Campbell and Cassie Garrison, 4 step-grandchildren, Dag & Ariel Salinas and Emily & Brooke Edgington, all of Paris; 4 brothers: Lowell Allen Gaunce & David Bradley Gaunce, both of Carlisle, Phillip Wesley Gaunce, of Paris, and James Harvey Gaunce, of Millersburg; a sister, Janice Moore, of Carlisle; his in-laws, Buddy & Sally Turpin, of Paris; and his best friend, Mark King, of Paris.

Wayne was also preceded in death by 4 sisters, Esther Purcell, Mary Jo Banks, Wanda Nesbit & Roxann Gaunce, and 2 brothers, Douglas Elden Gaunce & Thomas Wesley Gaunce.

Following cremation, a family gathering will be held at a later date.
