Ronald Ray “Ronnie” Abnee, 68, passed away Sunday, June 1, 2025 at his home in Nicholas County.
Born November 13, 1956 in Nicholas County to the late Robert & Evalyn McDonald Abnee, he was a lifelong farmer and former cable installation contractor for Bellsouth. Ronnie enjoyed raising & riding horses and spending time on the farm. He was a kind-hearted soul who always lent a helping hand to anyone in need.
Surviving are 2 sisters, Laura Boone & Tina Abnee; 4 nieces & nephews: Angel Beatty, Joshua Abnee, Jenna Abnee & Jessica Boone; 7 great-nieces & nephews: De´Kain Abnee, Tristan, Alyssa & Andrew Watkins, Peyton Boone, Parker Bennett & Paisley Hunt; 3 great-great-nieces & nephew: Alaina Abnee, Railan Abnee & Dutton Watkins, and another one on the way, Emberlynn Dunn.
Also preceding him in death was a brother, Frankie Abnee.
Services will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday, June 5th at Mathers-Gaunce Funeral Home by Bro. Phillip Mattox with burial to follow in Barterville Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 5:00 P.M. Wednesday.
