Ruby Lee (Bretz) Letcher

Ruby Lee Bretz Letcher, 91, wife of 65 years to the late Eugene Letcher, passed away Wednesday, August 29, 2018.

Born January 25, 1927 to the late Arthur & Ida Ishmael Bretz, she was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother as well as a cherished friend that will be greatly missed by all.

Surviving are 2 daughters: Phyllis Smoot and Donna (Ricky) Broderick; a daughter-in-law, Judy Letcher; 6 grandchildren: Tim (Traci) Letcher, Nicole Sparks, Kevin (Nicole) Letcher, Sarah (Justin) Massey, Jacob (Sherri) Broderick and Daniel (Mandi) Broderick; 9 great-grandchildren: Ryan Minton, Ruby Sparks, Russell & Rex Letcher, Owen & Brennon Letcher, Jack & Eli Broderick and Lincoln Massey.

Also preceding her in death were her son, Jim Letcher, and 2 brothers, Chester & Herman Bretz.

Services will be 10:00 A.M. Saturday, September 1, 2018 at the Carlisle United Methodist Church by Rev. Gaylord Gillispie, Rev. Rocky Wallace and Rev. Julian Hammonds. Burial will follow in the Carlisle Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 5:00 P.M. Friday at the church.
