Ruby (Anderson) Trussell

Ruby Louise Anderson Trussell, 86, wife of the late Ben Douglas Trussell, passed away Friday, July 22, 2022 at Edgemont Healthcare.

Born April 1, 1936 in Nicholas Co. to the late Lute & Edna Snapp Anderson she spent her life working in the tobacco fields and caring for her family. Ruby enjoyed working crossword puzzles, coloring and listening to gospel music. She was a proud member of the First Church of God in Paris. Of the many joys in her life none were more so than her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include her 6 children, Charlie William Trussell of Georgetown, Betty Mae Ishamel of Carlisle, Luther Lewis Trussell of Flemingsburg, Edna Alice Renfro of Richmond, Carrie Jean Allen of Carlisle & Marion Thomas Trussell of Nicholasville; 7 grandchildren, Crystal Trussell (Charle), Tryna Ring (Larry), Kennetha Hatton (James Johnson), Josh Trussell, Marla Clark, Sabrina Renfro and Frankie Allen; 14 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers Raymond (Abbie) Anderson, of Carlisle, and Everett "Sam" (Clarine) Anderson, of Crestwood; a sister, Carrie Anderson of Richmond along with several nieces and nephews.

Also preceding her in death were 2 brothers, Lloyd & Billy Anderson, a sister, Sally Anderson, 2 half brothers, Adrian “Buck” Anderson & James Anderson, 2 half sisters, Thelma McCord & Lizzie Mae Livingood, 3 son-in-laws, Robert Wayne Allen, Kenneth Renfro & Ray Kenneth Ishmael along with a daughter-in-law, Judy Katherine Trussell.

Services will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, July 26 at Mathers-Gaunce F.H. by Pastor Tim Pierce. Burial will follow in Carlisle Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 12:00 Noon Tuesday until the time of services.
