Obituary
Ruth Dixon Willoughby, 83, wife of 66 years to George Willoughby, passed away Monday, December 12, 2022 at Bourbon Community Hospital.
Born November 20, 1939 in Nicholas County to the late Jim Will & Hattie Ruth Barbee Dixon, she was a devoted homemaker, former cook at Picadome Elementary School and had attended Stoney Creek Christian Church. Ruth greatly enjoyed sewing and knitting.
Additional survivors include 2 daughters, Pam (Fred Allen) Tolson and Sheila (Barry) Fryman; 3 grandchildren: Nolan (Kristy) Fryman, Amanda (Daniel) Snapp & Josh (Ashley) Tolson; and 7 great-grandchildren: Laney, Jeremiah, Isaiah, Dax, Ronan, Nevaeh & Nariah.
Also preceding her in death were 2 brothers, Russell Barbee “Rusty” Dixon and Ray Eugene Dixon.
Services will be 1:00 P.M. Friday December 16th at Mathers-Gaunce Funeral Home with burial to follow in Carlisle Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 5:00 P.M. Thursday.
