Sandy (Treadway) Crawford

Sandy Treadway Crawford, 59, wife of Garry Crawford, passed away Wednesday, December 3, 2025 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington.

A Nicholas County native born November 18, 1966, she worked for 27 years at Johnson-Mathers Nursing Home– several years as a CNA and ending as the Activities Director. Sandy truly loved caring for people, spending time with her family and “picking” on those she loved. 

Additional survivors include 2 children, Garry (Carly) Crawford, Jr. & Katelyn (Dustin) Mitchell; her mother, Freda Berryman Clem; 5 brothers: Paul Treadway, Danny (Beth) Treadway, Wendell (Patricia) Treadway, Ralph Treadway, Jr. & Stevie Treadway; and 6 grandchildren: Addison, Kayden, Cameron, Haileigh, Grayson & Colton, along with a large extended family.
 
Sandy was preceded in death by her father, Ralph Treadway; her beloved stepfather, Jimmy Clem; a granddaughter, Allison McKinney; and her dog, Rex. 

Services will be held at 7:00 P.M. Tuesday, December 9th at Mathers-Gaunce Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 5:00 P.M.

Following cremation, Sandy will be inurned at Carlisle Cemetery.
