Sherry Marlyn Galbraith Howard, 75, wife of Ronald C. Howard, passed away Tuesday, September 1, 2020 at Bourbon Community Hospital.
Born July 16, 1945 in Paris, Kentucky to the late Harry D. & Martha Margaret Richie Galbraith, she was a retired employee of Jockey International, worked for several years at Conley & Conley Attorneys and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Carlisle. The greatest joy of Sherry’s life came during her retirement; she discovered a deep love of genealogy. She fostered that love through her work at the Nicholas County Public Library as the staff genealogist.
Additional survivors include son, Anthony Ray Howard, of Lexington; 2 daughters, Robin Carol Yaden, of London, and Jo Ellen (Dennis) Jackson, of Carlisle; a brother, Jerry (Donna) Galbraith, of Mt. Sterling; a sister, Roxanne White, of Carlisle; and a grandson, Derek Jackson.
Also preceding her in death were a brother, Harry D. Galbraith, Jr., and a sister, Nettie Delores Mangold.
A private burial will take place in the Carlisle Cemetery.
