Shirley Faye Holbrook Gardner, 76, passed away Friday, January 22, 2021.
Born September 26, 1944 in Jochin, West Virginia to the late Burl & Faye Whitt Holbrook, she was a retired administrative assistant at the Cardinal Hill Rehabilitation Center, had worked in the office of the Nicholas Co. Judge-Executive, at the Nicholas County Public Library and with Nicholas Co. Soil Conservation office. Shirley was an avid reader, greatly enjoyed collecting shoes, loved talking with her family & friends and was of the Methodist faith.
Surviving is a son, Todd (Jennie) Gardner, and 3 grandchildren, Tyler, Leah & Marcus Gardner, along with several nieces & nephews.
Also preceding her in death were a sister, Dixie Cramer, and 3 brothers, Lee Roy, Kenneth Gene & Bill Holbrook.
Services will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at Mathers-Gaunce Funeral Home by Rev. Gaylord Gillispie with burial to follow in Carlisle Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 12:00 Noon Wednesday until the time of service.
