Teddy E. Shaw, 96, of Paris, husband of the late Helen Whitley Shaw, passed away Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at Bourbon Heights.
Born April 13, 1922 in Nicholas County to the late Ulysses "Youie" and Blanche Shaw, he was a graduate of Headquarters High Schoo, was a retired carpenter and contractor having built many homes over the years in Bourbon, Nicholas and surrounding counties, and was a member of the Carlisle Assembly of God Church. Along with Helen, he opened and operated Talk of The Town Restaurant, a local favorite in Carlisle for many years. An accomplished softball pitcher, he greatly enjoyed all sports. Later in life, he loved playing Bingo with friends.
Survivors include a son, Jimmy Allen (Judy) Shaw, of Paris; 3 grandchildren: Lisa (John) King, Tracy (Greg) Walters and Jimmy Allen (Megan) Shaw, Jr.; 4 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great granddaughter.
Also preceding him in death was a sister, Mary Evelyn Smith.
The family will hold private services at the Carlisle Cemetery.
