Tommie (Purcell) Bowles

Tommie Purcell Bowles, 76, wife of the late Allen Lynn Bowles, passed away Friday, February 19, 2016 at her home in Lexington.

Born March 26, 1939 in Nicholas County to the late Clyde Hildreth & Louise Pryor Purcell, she was a 1958 graduate of Nicholas County High School, a retired nursing assistant at the Nicholas County Hospital and member of the Blue Licks Christian Church.

Left to cherish her memory are a daughter, Patricia Crump, of Lexington; a grandson, Timmy (Leslie) Crump, Jr., of Carlisle; 2 great-grandsons, Bentley Allen & Jaxon Charles Crump; 3 half-brothers: Paul (Bonnie) Purcell, of Richmond, Larry (Connie) Purcell, of Flemingsburg, and Dwight Purcell, of Lexington; and a half-sister, Kathy (Dale) Gray, of Cowan.

Also preceding her in death were a grandson, Kash Crump, a brother, Glenn Purcell and sister-in-law, Alice Faye Purcell.

Services will be 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, February 23, 2016 at Mathers-Gaunce Funeral Home by Bro. Jim Caswell with burial to follow in the Carlisle Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 6:00 P.M. Monday.
