Tommy Smith, 60, husband of Libby Kenney Smith, passed away Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington.
A native of Bourbon County born May 2, 1962, Tommy worked for many years as a press operator for The Cynthiana Democrat, later served for 12 years as the superintendent of the Millersburg Cemetery and attended Millersburg United Methodist Church. He enjoyed woodworking, was known by many as a great “wheeler-dealer” and was an avid collector of his treasures.
Also surviving are daughters: Penny (Chad) Epperson, of Lexington, and Connie (late-Freddie) Hollar, of Carlisle, along with Leslie & Amber; a sister, Ruby (Greg) Baker, of Paris; several grandchildren, including Kendra Collins, Ashley (David) Crossen, Tammy Biddle & Kay Morris; and 4 great-grandchildren: Sawyer, Maddox, Cady & Kathleen.
Preceding him in death were his father, Woodrow Smith, his mother, Nell Riley Smith Turner, and his brother, Bernie Smith.
Services will be 2:00 P.M. Monday, March 20th at Millersburg United Methodist Church by Rev. David Dupree.
Visitation will be from 12:00 Noon Monday until the time of service.
