Tony Edmond Asbury, Sr., 67, of Paris, passed away Tuesday, June 25, 2019 at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington.
Born November 26, 1951 in Nicholas County to the late Marion Eugene & Delphia Mae Fisher Asbury, he was a former Bourbon County Volunteer Firefighter and a retired employee of Claiborne Farm, where he worked in maintenance for 37 years and was the head van driver. Tony loved hunting, fishing and spending time outdoors.
Surviving are 2 sons: Tony (Suzannah) Asbury, Jr., of Millersburg, and Jeff (Julie) Asbury, of Paris; 2 daughters, Tammy (Matt) Hash and Gail Asbury, both of Paris; 2 brothers: Frank (Imogene) Asbury, of Cynthiana, and David Lee (Tina) Asbury, of Paris; 2 sisters: Mary Willoughby and Penny Watkins, both of Carlisle; 8 grandchildren: Josh Asbury, Christin Asbury, Roland Underwood, Aubrey Asbury, Xena Underwood, Lane Asbury, Annslee Hash and Avaree Hash; and an expected great-granddaughter, Emma Renee; along with a large extended family.
Also preceding him in death were 2 brothers, Eslie Asbury, Sr. and Billy Ray Asbury, and a sister, Betty Willoughby.
Services will be 1:00 P.M. Friday, June 28, 2019 at Mathers-Gaunce Funeral Home by Rev. Sam Campbell with burial to follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 5:00 P.M. Thursday.
