Turner Moreland Obituary

Turner Allen Moreland, 82, husband of Lenore Scott Moreland, passed away Tuesday, August 23, 2022 at Edgemont Healthcare in Cynthiana.

Born April 12, 1940 in Nicholas County to the late Quinton Allen & Rosa Mae Peters Moreland, he was a 1958 graduate of Nicholas County High School, a longtime stable hand in the horse industry, had also worked as a milk truck driver and delivered the Herald-Leader for many years. Turner liked to eat, watch tv and work his puzzles. He was a wonderful storyteller and loved visiting with his family and friends. 

Additional survivors are a daughter, Karen (Mike) Hawkins; a son-in-law, Chris Bussell; 7 grandchildren: Jennifer Hubbard, Justin Jones, Jordan (Jessica) Bussell, Allison (Chancellor) Miller, Shavonne Edwards (Morgan Mattox), Shelby Bussell and James Edwards; and 4 great-grandchildren: Brooklyn Bussell, Ridley Miller, Sarah Bussell & Kendall Miller. 

Also preceding him in death was a daughter, Tracey Lynn Bussell. 

Services will be at 12:00 Noon Friday, August 26th at Mathers-Gaunce Funeral Home by Bro. Troy Miller, Chaplain Rick Snyder and Chaplain Phillip Moody. Burial will follow in Carlisle Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 5:00 P.M. Thursday.
