William G.P. Anderson, 72, of Burnside, passed away at his home.
Born July 17, 1945 in Nicholas County to the late Lute & Edna Snapp Anderson, he was US Army Vietnam veteran, a retired employee of IBM-Lexmark, had worked several years at Walmart and was a shuttle driver for the railroad. Since his retirement, he greatly enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Survivors include 3 children: Tammy (Danny) VanHook, of Cynthiana, Derek (Regina) Anderson, of Lexington, and Brian (Aubrey) Anderson, of Carlisle; his children’s mother, Karen Anderson, of Carlisle; 2 brothers, Raymond (Abbie) Anderson, of Carlisle, and Everett "Sam" (Clarine) Anderson, of Crestwood; 3 sisters, Carrie Jean Anderson, Ruby Trussell and Sally Anderson, all of Paris; 3 grandchildren, Quentin Mitchell (Kayla Garrison), Sam VanHook and Oliver Anderson; a great-granddaughter, Audrey Mitchell and her brother, Brayden Portwood; his former wife, Dottie Logan and her family, and a large extended family.
Also preceding him in death were 3 brothers, James "Jim", Adrain "Buck" & Lloyd "L.T." Anderson and 2 sisters, Lizzie Mae Livingood and Thelma McCord.
A Memorial Service will be held at 12:00 Noon Monday, July 16, 2018 at Mathers-Gaunce Funeral Home. Inurnment with Military Honors will follow in Camp Nelson National Cemetery at 2:30P.M.
Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. Monday until the service.
