William Lester Howard

William Lester Howard, 62, passed away Friday, January 10, 2025 at his home in Nicholas County. 

Born April 19, 1962 in Nicholas County, he was a 1981 graduate of N.C.H.S., and a U.S. Air Force veteran and former member of the KY Army National Guard. William worked for many years as a master plumber and later in maintenance at Bourbon Heights, and was baptized at Mt. Zion Christian Church. He greatly enjoyed tinkering with his cars, beekeeping and his beloved dog, Skipper. 

Surviving are his parents, John Thomas & Roberta Robinson Howard; 2 brothers, Harold (Patricia) Howard & Russell Howard; his sister, Della Mitchell; a nephew and 3 nieces: Austin Howard, Shasta (Dustin) Stoddard, Taylor Mitchell & Macie Howard; and 4 great-nieces & nephews: Cady & Zaden Howard and Tessa & Elijah Stoddard.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Austin Lee Howard. 

Services will be 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 14th at Mathers-Gaunce Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Carlisle Cemetery. 

Visitation will be after 5:00 P.M. Monday.
